Join us for an dogsledding adventure in Geilo. Here you will drive your own dog team, safely guided by an experienced musher. Dogsledding is a unique way to explore the winter landscape – combining speed, silence, and breathtaking scenery. This is an experience suited for families, friends, and couples of all ages.
How it works
- You’ll be greeted by an experienced guide who will give you an introduction to how to handle a dogsled. You’ll learn everything you need to know before we head out.
- Each sled is shared between two people – one drives, and one sits in the sled. You’ll have the chance to switch roles along the way.
- The dogs will be ready and waiting, harnessed and eager to take you on your adventure.
- Each team consists of 4–6 highly trained racing dogs, depending on weather and snow conditions.
- After the trip, you’ll be offered a warm drink by the fire, and have the opportunity to hear stories about life with sled dogs from our guides.
- All our dogs are friendly and love human contact.
- The total experience lasts about 1,5 hour.(includes introduction, about 40 minutes with dog sledding and time with the dogs)
