Magical evening tour -2 hours

Join us under the stars in Geilo. Experience an exclusive and atmospheric evening tour in the dark – with your very own sled dog team.

Description

When darkness settles over the winter landscape, silence and magic is awaken. Our friendly huskies will take you on a exclusive journey through snow-covered forests and open plains – lit only by your headlamp and the starlit sky.

This is a calm and atmospheric tour for those seeking a truly special experience – close to nature, the dogs, and the quiet moutain

How it works

  • You’ll be greeted by an experienced guide who will give you an introduction to how to handle a dogsled. You’ll learn everything you need to know before we head out.
  • Each sled is shared between two people – one drives, and one sits in the sled. You’ll have the chance to switch roles along the way.
  • We will provid headlamps.
  • The dogs will be ready and waiting, harnessed and eager to take you on your adventure.
  • Each team consists of 4–6 highly trained racing dogs, depending on weather and snow conditions.
  • Halfway through the hike we will stop in the middle of the trail to make a fire. There you be offered something warm to drink by the fire, and have the opportunity to hear stories about life with sled dogs from our guides.
  • All our dogs are friendly and love human contact.
  • The total experience lasts about 2 hour.(includes introduction, about 40 minutes with dog sledding and time with the dogs)
